Wedding Wednesday: I Moustache You a Question

Today, I am dedicating my Wedding Wednesday to an amazing group of girls...my bridesmaids (and honorary bridesmaids!!) These girls have been meticulously planning my bachelorette weekend for months [T-MINUS 2 DAYS YOU GUYS].

I got this idea from Breckenridge Clare @ Whim of the South from her post today!

So I thought I'd do some highlighting of my girls' fabulousness and the adorable way that I asked them to be my bridesmaids.

My bridesmaids and one of the two junior bridesmaids

Let's start with my maid of honor knew she was going to be my bridesmaid, since I asked her on the phone as I was coming down the mountain from the proposal. The other girls, were probably less sure. I have a great group of girlfriends. Iman has a slightly smaller group of guy friends, so some of my girls became "honorary bridesmaids." They're coming to all of the fun stuff, but aren't standing at the end of the aisle with me.

This is due to the fact that I went to a wedding recently that had more groomsmen than bridesmaids and it looked weird.

I put together these cute little boxes for the girls! [I put these together before I was a good blogger, thus I did not take pictures of the process...]

I bought the boxes from Michael's, along with some heart stickers and a glittery wood letter of their first initial. For my maid of honor, I got her MOH. Which is a play on words because her nickname is Mo, so it was sort of perfect.

I painted the outside of the box white, glued a moustache on top and stuck the sticker on the side. I knew I wanted to use moustaches because I thought this was the only time I would be able to incorporate moustaches into my wedding. [I was wrong].

The inside included the wood letter on top of some shredded paper filler and a couple of pieces of cardstock.

The first had a cute poem I used to ask the girls.

The second had the other girls who are bridesmaids, and a personal note for the recipient.

The third included the style of dress I'd like them to wear.

The fourth included important information.

I can't wait to show you the dresses they picked! That's going to have to wait until I see them in the proper color in person [curse you David's Bridal for taking weeks to arrive!]

How did you ask your bridesmaids?

Calling all Guest Bloggers and a quick game of Never Have I Ever

Today, I'm not too sure what to blog about. Maybe it's because yesterday I cranked out 3 blog posts, or maybe it's because my brain is consumed by wedding planning, moving planning and all other types of planning...but my brain is full, basically.

If you know much about my personality, you know that when my brain gets full of planning and things to do, I make quite a few lists. So that's what I'm doing. One of those lists is one that could benefit you!

This is how I feel about guest posts :)

I wanted to let you all know, that I was nominated for a Liebster by the wonderful Amanda @ Musings of a Crazy Cat Girl, but since I have too many followers I would love to pass on the award to 6 other girls. Please leave a comment if you'd like to receive the questions!

5 Little Grins

We'll go ahead and say it: Most people think Mondays suck / are the worst / should die a fire-y death. I'm sure you get the picture.

We've all had our fair share of bad Mondays and bad Tuesdays and just plain ol' bad days. Instead of focusing on the bad, what if we focused on the good things?

What if we focused on the little things that made us smile today, yesterday, last week? Could our whole attitude change? In time, would we find that we're having more good days than bad?

Cassandra, Paulina and I would love for you to join us on our weekly link up counting at least 5 things that made you smile in the last week. We could start our Mondays on this positive note!

Of course, this is all about encouragement, so hop on over to some other blogs and leave a positive note and make a new friend!
The Rules! (These are really just kind suggestions)

1. Follow your hosts: Cassandra, Raewyn, and Paulina!

2. Link up your post that includes 5-ish things that made you smile in the past week

3. Comment after you link up

4. Go visit some other blogs and make some friends!

5. Have fun, and don't forget to smile!!
Wow, It's another week already!! This week's difficult to narrow it down...

1. We've solved our wedding problems, so far (dj and cake)

2. It rained!! California finally got some rain...and when it rains it rains so we now have lake front property.

Typical girls in the bathroom pic

Literally dancing while the photos being taken. I'm the moving blob =P

3. On Saturday night we went out to watch one of our friends DJ in Laguna Beach. OH MY GOSH. My legs are sore from dancing so hard. Shout out to Uber for the awesome drive home, minus the part when we decided to walk halfway and I tried to sleep on a fence.

4. I've got some amazing friends who helped me through some stuff this week. Thank you x 2 million.

5. During a lull in the rain, my brother and I brought ponchos to the homeless people that live in the park near our house. I love that he will always go with me to do a good deed, especially when we are both scared of homeless people. (Long story, see The DollHouse Fire)

And for good measure, here is an adorable picture of my cat sleeping in the mess he made:

Welcome to March!

Last month when Charlene @ From Bisons to Buckeyes and Beyond sponsored me, I saw her do this awesome "What I'm doing in February" post and I told her I'd steal it for the first day of March! So here we are :)

In March I will be...

Making: a ton of wedding diy projects.
Cooking: More. I used to cook dinner for us and then I got lazy. And by lazy I mean working 50 miles away from home and driving through traffic.
Drinking: a lot. We're going out tonight, next weekend is my bachelorette, then my bridal shower, and the OC Blogger Brunch...all days filled with alcohol!
Reading: Good Morning by Brook Noel. Check out my guest blog on Endless Bliss blog.
Wanting: A tablet!
Playing: Duolingo. Brittney @ Like an Arrow got me hooked (and I got my family hooked...)
Wishing: I have time to visit the babies this month!
Enjoying: all of the wedding stuff...I know, it consumes my thoughts!
Waiting: until we have our own place again! (patiently)
Liking: All of the love that this little blog and our Etsy is getting!!
Wondering: what my bachelorette / bridal shower surprises will be!
Loving: All of the love and support from those close to me. The last month's been a tough one.
Hoping: We have enough money for the fun stuff!
Needing: to start setting up my guest bloggers for the wedding / honeymoon!
Smelling: Rain. California is happy :)
Wearing: Jeans and my newest IWYP t-shirt. And my mom's rainboots since mine decided to break this morning.
Following: a lot of awesome bloggers on Twitter :)
Noticing: the little things that people do for each other (and Iman does for me)
Knowing: everything will work itself out!!
Thinking: about how bad I am at keeping our room clean.
Feeling: relieved
Giggling: At the cats because what else is new?
Watching: the new show Mixology..has anyone seen it?
Listening to: pop rock on Spotify. I'm so excited for Warped Tour after all.
Obsessing over: anything wedding related. ahhhh
Shopping for: gifts for the amazing people who are helping with our wedding!
Learning: Spanish again. Well, practicing.
Bothered by: my messy room!
Eating: soup!!!
