I went back to work today though! Phew, thought I was going to have to leave half day but I'm making it! WOO hoo!
It is only lunch time and I haven't had any classes though but...I'm trying!
Anyway, for the first time in what seems like forever...and for the first time in 2014...Here's 5 Little Grins!!
I just love doing this link up with the other girls because I love to smile!
We'll go ahead and say it: Most people think Mondays suck / are the worst / should die a fire-y death. I'm sure you get the picture.
We've all had our fair share of bad Mondays and bad Tuesdays and just plain ol' bad days. Instead of focusing on the bad, what if we focused on the good things?
What if we focused on the little things that made us smile today, yesterday, last week? Could our whole attitude change? In time, would we find that we're having more good days than bad?
Cassandra, Paulina and I would love for you to join us on our weekly link up counting at least 5 things that made you smile in the last week. We could start our Mondays on this positive note!
Of course, this is all about encouragement, so hop on over to some other blogs and leave a positive note and make a new friend!
1. Follow your hosts: Cassandra, Raewyn, and Paulina!
2. Link up your post that includes 5-ish things that made you smile in the past week
3. Comment after you link up
4. Go visit some other blogs and make some friends!
5. Have fun, and don't forget to smile!!
1. I threw one of my best friends a baby shower yesterday and it went AMAZINGLY! The only problem was that we didn't have enough lemonade so I ran to the store 5 minutes before the party started...
perfection!! Stay tuned for tomorrow to see the baby shower reveal!
2. The kiddos were so excited to see me at school this morning! I got so many hugs (even though I tried to stay away with my sick ol self)
3. I pampered myself with a manicure and pedicure on Friday after a long day at the doctor's / social security office.
4. When I got into work this morning there was a Christmas gift in my box from one of the 8th graders!!
5. Iman and I booked our honeymoon!!!!
What made you grin today?

Your students sound so great!! :) Booking the honeymoon is exciting! Have you been out of the country before?
ReplyDeleteI've attended plenty of baby showers but haven't been responsible for throwing one yet. I'm actually kind of excited to do so as there are so many fun ideas!
ReplyDeleteI hope you get fit and fine soon :) where will you spend honeymoon?
ReplyDeleteThank you! It is just so ridiculous! Remember yesterday, I thought I was doing so good!!
ReplyDeleteWe are honeymooning in Holland!!
Oh it was just so wonderful! Definitely come by tomorrow to see all of the projects we did. I have only attended a couple of showers, but party planning is so much fun it was just a breeze! We didn't spend a lot of money, either!
ReplyDeleteThey are wonderful!
ReplyDeleteIt was so exciting to book - but so expensive! I was planning on paying for the whole trip for the amount we paid for the flight...but I know it will be worth it!!
I have been to Mexico and Canada, but that's it!!
That would definitely be a surprise! Maybe not of the positive sort either. I'm sure you're right though! Funny, my parents went Holland, MICHIGAN for their honey moon, so that'w why I had to ask if yours was in Denmark haha :)
ReplyDeleteSorry your so sick! That sucks. My kids were so happy to see me too. They didn't give me any hugs but you could see it on their face. They normally give me hugs at the end of the day!
ReplyDeleteAw your students got you a gift, that's so adorable & definitely a big grin! Hope you're feeling better soon!
