My Link-Up Post:
Summer Musts
You guys. I'm hours away from summer vacation...
To be honest, the concept of summer is a little bit bittersweet and scary to me. You see, I'm working from home this summer for my company but I'm not 100% sure what I'm doing yet or when I start. Which means that days after moving into our own place again I have no idea if I can pay rent at the end of the month!
Never fear! I'll figure it out :) Plus, I'm most likely getting an extra serving job so boom! Busy Summer!
I already told you guys a little about my summer plans in my life lately post buuuut I wanted to do a checklist of things that we DEFINITELY HAVE TO DO THIS SUMMER! Are you with me?
1. Get some Vitamin D! I don't care if you're tanning or slathering on the sunscreen (note one is for the reckless) get outside this summer! I spent last summer working in an office job and running from there to serve, so my daylight hours were severely limited.
2. Do something amazing off your bucketlist! Just one thing, so that you can say "Hey man, I did ___________ this summer! Mine is to: Ride in the Great Orange Balloon! It's a giant hot air balloon that's free in Orange County and usually on my bucketlist. I've yet to complete it.
3. Plan a Themed Party. This is one of my favorite things to do. In college we would pick a day that we wanted to have a party and then we would research what happened on that day and celebrate it. Hence our Launcing of the V2 Rocket party. Also, we like to pick a letter and everyone has to attend as a character that is that letter.
That college life (and dressed as aliens?) |
I was "Macy the Teen Mom" at the letter M party. |
4. Go to a beach! For the first time in my life, I'm going to acknowledge that there might be beaches for rivers and lakes, just so that all of your landlocked people can go to one. But go! I'm telling you, get that sand between your toes.
5. Participate in a challenge! Any sort of challenge! I'm trying out Erin's #1000in30 challenge (which has 0 hours on it so far) and a yoga challenge!

I can't believe it is summertime already! I made a summer bucket list too. I love the idea of challenging myself to try something new every week.
ReplyDeleteI need to get a tan too. I am sure I am paler than you are cause you can see my awesome blue veins.
ReplyDeletehahaha, you definitely are. When I say pale I actually mean that I have a pretty awesome natural tan from being part Mexican!
