I know I haven't talked much about the wedding day activities, but that was because I was waiting for this moment - the moment when I can provide pictures as well!!
My morning started early, with an 8:30am appointment to get my makeup done about 30 miles away.
My bridesmaids stayed asleep, and my little sister went with me. I was going to go alone because they
wanted to sleep, but luckily she came or I would have had an absolute panic attack.
Things didn't go quite as planned while we were getting ready (but I'm okay with getting all of that out of the way before the actual ceremony). My makeup artist doubled as my florist and she was still setting up the flowers at the venue when I got to her salon.
I called my mom to let her know and found out that she wasn't finished with my dress yet. I made an executive decision to nix the top layer of the skirt if she needed to, but she ended up finishing all of it by noon! It was rush delivered to my room by my Ohio besties, arriving minutes before me.
While we waited, my little sis and I drove around my hometown and I showed her my high school where Iman and I met and where I used to live. (She isn't really related to me by blood.)
After makeup, we rushed back to the hotel to get my hair done and to get dressed. Things went smoothly from there!
Iman of course, had no problems getting ready and even had time to stop by our house and grab Warrior Queen bracelets for all of the groomsmen.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite picture is the one of you in the chair getting ready. I know it's not like the typical favorite wedding picture but that picture shows how excited and just happy you are to be marrying the man of your dreams. Even though you had quite a bit of chaos it seems from the makeup/flowers/dress issues that I know if it was me, I would be a total wreck. The expression in that one picture shows that no matter what, you are ready to marry your man. Love it <3
