WANTED: A Workout Accountability Partner

Wasn't it just Friday?

I mean, I'm not complaining. It happens to be a Friday during a short week and the last day of May. Which means that we are 6 days shy of my 24th birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so excited. Why? I'm not sure. I'm quickly becoming an old lady. I feel like such an adult lately, too. So many adult things in the plans - careers and wedding plans, bills and even dressing like an adult. [weird, right?] I mean, I still want to wear my Reptar shirt everyday but instead I put on pretty big girl clothes [stolen from my mom/bought at Macy's] and makeup. I put on makeup.

Who is this person?

Well, with these natural changes and my progress on making good habits lately, leave me to start some new positive habits after my birthday that will hopefully stick.

Like working out. I bought a totally cute pair of yoga pants and yoga bra from Vicky's that will hopefully motivate me. I've been opting for the healthier options when I eat, and I am definitely unhappy with my 15 lb weight gain since my last birthday.

I don't like to complain about it because then people think I have an eating disorder. No, in my Bdubs work uniform you cannot tell that I weigh 20 lbs more than the last time I worked for them. In fact, I don't want to get anywhere near to that low again. That was my freak of nature days, and now I'm in my normal adult human girl days.

But I want to be healthier. I don't want to get out of breath because I walked up a hill and talked on the phone [I don't see any guarantees from anyone that this won't happen still, but I believe it could be possible!] I have become excited about and begun craving fruits and vegetables. See, I'm growing up! So I have to keep up the process. I just need to find a way to work out that doesn't make me want to punch babies  I actually enjoy.

I need an accountability partner. So, I'm looking for a blog or blog friends with a challenge that I can stick with and not feel overwhelmed by. That's the hard part. Insanity scares me. 30 miles in 30 days, scares me.

Also, I don't have normal people hours. I work from 8a-12a most days and can only sneak in 6ish hours of sleep.

Does anyone know of something??

What I'm lovin Wednesday

Linking up with Jamie again today!

♥ all of this best friend time
♥ feeling more like me again after finally adapting to my crazy schedule.
♥ all of the good karma today!
♥ how good i've been with cleaning
♥ our engagement photoshoot is on Sunday!
♥ that wicked hike on Monday and being healthierish again

I really want to bake

It sounds like such fun and relaxation right now. Baking is my favorite distraction and de-stresser.

Eggnog Cookies

Peanut Butter Nutella are BMW's fave!

Hot Cocoa Cookie Fail

Valentine's Day deliciousness, strawberry cake cookies, Red velvet cake cookies and cupcakes!

It has been too long since I baked for work, but the Sears people are on their way over to fix the washer and I've spent my morning productively!

Cleaned out my car! Organized my room, helped with the kitchen and living room and bathroom!! Wooooooo

You all are so proud of clean-challenged me. Let's see how long it lasts. For the record my room has had clean since Mother's Day. That's almost a whole month!!!

I've taken a few days off from Bdubs this week because I went hiking on Memorial Day and almost DIED. Well, if I had tried to climb the waterfall like everyone else, I probably would have broken my face. [Pictures to come soon]

Instead I'm just insanely sore and proud of myself. I've been on a healthier kick again since then, too. Ignore my urge to bake...or the frozen brownie bite I just ate after breakfast.

Time to get back to productivity, hopefully I will get more blogging time in this week :)

Warrior Queen Things

My oh my!

Yesterday was a day filled with Warrior Queen things in my inbox. I love when that happens. I noticed them all while I was at work and had to keep telling myself to write about it today!!

First, I wanted to share Angelina Jolie's article about her double mastectomy. I think it is beautiful that she shared the story and what she has done for her family by sacrificing in this way. I've read that we shouldn't be applauding her for this courage, but that we should be applauding the courage of women who suffer silently. Why can't we applaud both of them?

Angelina Jolie made an educated opinion - which she highlights the need to educate lower and middle class women about preventive measures - and instead of keeping it private - something she does have the right to do - she decided to use her celebrity for good.

The second email I received yesterday that I want to share is a new crowdfunding site for women.

From the website:

Because equality for girls and women makes a better planet for everyone.
To some people — it’s about rights. To others — it’s about smart economics. Either way — we cannot see progress in our world without addressing gender equality.
There are so many organizations already doing brilliant work for girls and women. They have the expertise, the cultural understanding, and they’ve scoped solutions for big changes. They just need funding.

Let's start a team? :)

P.S. Bonus Warrior Queen thing. This guy who made this video. #FitchTheHomeless

Embracing Chaos and A Jumble of Everything

Things are chaotic. But when aren't they in my life?

Last week I started a new job - which so far I am absolutely loving!! I will only be at about 32 hours a week there and then my shifts serving too. Last week I worked roughly 63 hours. This week it will probably come in closer to 50-55, which is totally do-able and what I'm used to. But I am going to try to salvage time for wedding planning and blogging and reconnecting with friends (I feel so out of touch).

Iman got a promotion this week too, so the reconnecting with friends part is especially difficult. Add on to that, the fact that a lot of my friends have not been answering my texts or calls (I'm assuming because they are equally busy). So I am going to embark on an easy, rekindle our friendship type of thing.

I need to get back on the wedding planning train...granted it is still 11 months away and we have all of the big money stuff done. But I want to do the fun crafting stuff!

I feel like I am constantly working on bettering myself and getting nowhere. I think I need an attitude adjustment and to celebrate the little things that I am doing. Do you ever feel that way?

This week's celebrations are - a more professional look! (Hair change) and style change! As well as a conscious effort to eat better again and watch my budget. YAY I'm making habits.

First day of work outfit!

Just to show off our Sunday adventures

First day at work!

The next round of habit changes are going to include keeping my room clean and exercising. Maybe if I do it in twos it will stick this time.

I've been using my new planner from Amanda @ Pixies and Periwinkles religiously. I LOVE IT.

Another thing I am completely loving is all of my social media ideas flowing and the canvas of my new job. I really want to focus on building their social media, my social media, and maybe one day even do consulting with social media (like I did for Kymberly Marciano, but more clients!

I've realized that social media is the dream job, along with my beautiful WQ magazine that I still can't seem to narrow down the concept. We will get there some day WQs!

What's been happening in your lives?
