5 Little Grins Week 14 [Link Up]

Hello Monday, It's so nice of you to come in with all of this complication. Instead of succumbing to your annoying tirade that today will be long and boring, I will instead take joy in my 5 Little Grins! TAKE THAT, Monday!

So, it's time for another 5 Little Grins and if you haven't partook, than please join us and spread the anti-Monday-blues (aka happiness).

5 Little Grins

We'll go ahead and say it: Most people think Mondays suck / are the worst / should die a fire-y death. I'm sure you get the picture.

We've all had our fair share of bad Mondays and bad Tuesdays and just plain ol' bad days. Instead of focusing on the bad, what if we focused on the good things?

What if we focused on the little things that made us smile today, yesterday, last week? Could our whole attitude change? In time, would we find that we're having more good days than bad?

Cassandra, Paulina and I would love for you to join us on our weekly link up counting at least 5 things that made you smile in the last week. We could start our Mondays on this positive note!

Of course, this is all about encouragement, so hop on over to some other blogs and leave a positive note and make a new friend!
The Rules! (These are really just kind suggestions)

1. Follow your hosts: Cassandra, Raewyn, and Paulina!

2. Link up your post that includes 5-ish things that made you smile in the past week

3. Comment after you link up

4. Go visit some other blogs and make some friends!

5. Have fun, and don't forget to smile!!

This is what made me grin this past week!!

1. Getting to see Iman's cousins yesterday. We went over to his cousin's house to discuss flowers (the two sisters are going to do them for us!!) and got to meet the new baby and eat pizza and watch the Golden Globes! It was wonderful :)
2. I made a new friend, and got to see some old friends. Saturday was my preschool best friend's baby shower and it was amazing! Plus, one of her high school friends was super sweet and I am so excited I met her!
I know it's hard to believe this gorgeous lady is 37 weeks pregnant or that we've been friends for 20 years!!
3. I got my CMWQ shirts in the mail! If you follow me on Instagram you saw a sneak peek, and the promise that I'd model them on Saturday. That was the plan, Stan, until I spent Friday night in the ER with chest pains which leads me to the next grin...
I know this isn't me modeling, but it will be soon
4. My ER trip chest pains are nothing more than inflammation from coughing aka I don't have a collapsed lung, heart problems or breast cancer. This one deserves a story (I suppose, since you all might be worried about me). Basically, as you know, I've been sick for 2 months now and I am finally sort of feeling better. On Wednesday, my chest started to hurt when I coughed. This has happened before because I pulled a muscle in between my ribs from coughing too much. I assumed the same happened. By Friday dinner, my chest hurt so bad to breathe, move, cough, laugh, talk, lay down, anything. I was basically a crying mess and made my mom take me to the ER. They made me wear a face mask even though I am not contagious and then without xrays ruled it inflammation of my muscles or cartiledge from coughing so now I am on anti-inflammatory medince and my chest still hurts but only when I cough and get stressed out...
please enjoy these ER pictures of me. I made my mom go with me instead of Iman because I'm a baby and also, I don't like face masks because they fog up my glasses but maybe that is because I am wearing it backwards since no one gave me the face mask manual!!
5. Traffic did not suck last week. All you non-Los Angeles drivers out there might think that this is a no brainer but lemme tell ya. I leave for work at 5:45 and get to my parking lot at 6:45. If I leave two minutes later, I get there at 7:15, which means no before work nap for me! Even worse is driving HOME. I get off at 3:30 and I have about a 5 minute grace window to make it home within 2 hours (this week it was less!!!) If I leave at 3:45 you bet I will be on the freeway until after 6 and once or twice after 7. Rawr.
What made you grin this past week??

  4. Thank you!!! I'm glad they blocked WebMD. That can get so dangerous with the smallest things - causing more stress!!!
