Wedding Wednesday: 199 days to go!

Today, you can find me over at JustJacq blogging about the Warrior Queen name!

Wow! Yesterday was 200 days left until the wedding. When I saw that on the countdown I sighed.

But I definitely think it was a good sigh. Last week, I might have sounded a little crazy in my post. It was a freak out, afterall.

Today, I'm so super happy to let you all know that I found a new wedding venue!

We decided to try out the Fullerton Elks Lodge because they had our wedding date available. On Sunday we had a 3 p.m. appointment, but ended up coming later in the day thanks to Buffalo Wild Wings, football, and me agreeing to do a fireball shot. Bad idea. I hate shots.

I wasn't exactly completely sober when we went to the venue, but I already knew it was pretty. Mostly, I was concerned with the # of people, our ability to have the ceremony, food, dancing, and price. Luckily, all of those aligned! [Can you tell I'm a fairly simple bride?]

Then yesterday I got the fantastic news that we will be able to get our deposit back if I can find a couple to take our old venue. Anyone know a couple wanting to marry in April 2014 in Southern California?

Our original venue is beautiful!

They have a $10k minimum, which is considered affordable in Orange County. The plates were in the $30 range.

Our new venue is nowhere near as fancy, and it has a couple of quirky feels to it (like roll up garage doors) but I like quirky and those doors could go perfect with our vintagy theme. Chances are no one will notice. We're just happy to find a place for all of our people at a very affordable price!!

How is your venue hunt going? Anyone else change their venue with 6 months until the wedding?

As always, linking up for Wedding Wednesday!

  13. If you can't think of ɑnything tօ say make a small joke out of it.
First off, you should know that most guys who are successful with women are not exceptionally wise
or rich. But women are less prone to crave something which is readily available to them
    at all times.
